The Veterans Room contains items to remember and honor persons from Milan and the surrounding areas who have served in the military services of our country.
The North wall displays 60 pictures of Veterans (still looking for submissions of 30 additional photos).
The bookcase shows a variety of items from over the years.
In the East corners are two display cases assembled by the late Joe McCarty, a very long-time member.
(Joe landed at Normandy, France, on D-Day (6 June 1944) in World War II)
The wardrobe on the South wall contains various uniforms.
The low glass display case shows other various items in our collection.
This room has its own interesting history.
During the time this building housed the Court House and the Sheriff's office, this room served as a Women's Jail Cell.
A couple of notes carved in the woodwork by jail inmates has been preserved.
Bolt holes remain in the window and door frames from steel bars of that time.
